Jake Whitlock and Julie Emerick created Clubhound as a place where dogs could play while their people made friends, worked, watched games and stayed awhile. Together with their team, members, vendors and guests, they turned this Garden City campus into a second home for thousands of dog lovers.
The Stockyard hopes to honor what that community loved and carry its spirit forward—while opening the gates to even more ways for people to connect.
The Clubhouse remains at the heart of it all—a small nod to the place that brought this community together first.

We loved what Clubhound created, especially the community. We’re keeping the off-leash dog experience at the center and building a nearly 2.4-acre social campus around it: Morning Club, the Clubhouse, the Greenbelt Watering Hole on game days, the Market and events, followed by the Loft and, in later phases, the Recovery Yard and Cabana District.
That’s intentional. Several experiences around the property are what let us keep investing in The Yard and the dog community for years to come. We didn’t want to recreate a single business model and hope for a different result. We wanted to build a place designed to last.
The Yard isn’t going away. We’re simply creating more around it, and former Clubhound members are the community we most want to welcome back first.

This is not starting
from an empty field.
The foundation is visible: an indoor hall, a working bar, televisions, roll-up doors, fenced outdoor play, patios, utilities and a community-shaped campus.
The bar + five TVs
The existing working bar and game-day setup that will evolve into the Greenbelt Watering Hole and Remington Coffee Club.
The patio + yard
The real shaded patio beside the fenced dog yard, with seating, planters and easy indoor-outdoor flow.
